Productivity Rests on Having Appropriate Tools

Without the proper tools, packaging supplies, and other office supplies, doing things around your house can get a bit tough or never happen at all. In fact, I’d venture to say that more productivity is accomplished by having the right gear than without it. If you’re always having to borrow tools and things from your family or friends, it’s just another step in the process that makes you not want to accomplish a new project or tackle a different task.

So, what sorts of packaging supplies, tools, and other items would you need to make sure that productivity doesn’t wane in the times you need it to be carried out most?

Drill and bits

Even if you think you won’t ever use this, you will. From mounting things to assembling new products, you’ll get so much use out of a simple drill with different bits. The good thing is that you can find a drill for under 40 bucks most places, even if it’s not a top tier brand. It’ll suffice in the times you need it, and that’s what counts. There’s no sense in not having a drill and trying to borrow one from your dad every other month.

Hammer and nails

Again, even if you’re just hanging stuff on the wall or putting a simple project together out in the garage, every household (and even apartment) must have a hammer. There are times when all you’ll need is one to beat something into or out of place, too. And what works better than a hammer designed specifically for that?

Cardboard boxes

These come in handy for just about everything. Breaking them down and using pieces as kindling, storing things away in them, or just having a “second trash can” when you’re down in the basement and putting something together, cardboard boxes get the job done in so many different areas. Don’t underestimate the utility you’ll get out of cardboard; they can be used for just about anything.

Packaging tape

Otherwise known as packing tape, this sort of tape is quite strong and can be used in a pinch for tears or rips in specific items that you’ll get repaired later on. Just as well, they pair well with cardboard boxes and sealing them up for a long period of time. As a pro tip, it’s best to have multiple types of tape, such as duct tape and even electrical tape, in order to keep a variety for when different situations need different tape.
